About the line

What painter's tape is for

Painter's tape is masking tape with a gentler adhesive, made to keep paint off trim and come away without pulling the finish. The Tape Logic blue tape states clean removal for up to 14 days and works with all types of paints and stains. The green tape is made for surfaces that are hard to stick to.

Rolls are 60 yards long in 1/2, 3/4, 1, 2 and 3 inch widths, packed 12 to 72 to a case for painters who go through a lot of it.

How to use it

Getting a clean paint line

1Clean and dry
Wipe dust off the trim and let fresh paint underneath cure before taping.
2Lay in short lengths
Unroll a foot or two at a time and keep the edge on the line.
3Seal the edge
Run a fingernail or a putty knife along the paint edge so paint cannot seep under.
4Pull at an angle
Remove the tape while the last coat is slightly wet, pulling back on itself at about 45 degrees.
