About the line

What water-activated kraft tape is for

Water-activated tape is paper with a starch adhesive that only sticks once it is wet. It bonds into the fibers of the box rather than sitting on top, holds on dusty or dirty cartons, and tears the board if someone tries to lift it, which makes tampering obvious. The tape is 100% recyclable and repulpable with the box.

The Tape Logic rolls come plain (non-reinforced) for light cartons and fiberglass reinforced for heavy ones, in widths from 1 1/2 to 3 inches and lengths of 375 to 1,000 feet. Some are printed with Fragile, Warning or Stop messages. It needs a paper tape dispenser that wets and cuts the tape.

Best for

Tamper-evident sealing
Dusty, dirty or recycled cartons
Shippers who want the box and tape recycled together

Look elsewhere if

You have no paper tape dispenser: it has to be wetted
Quick one-off boxes: plastic tape is faster by hand
